Simon Withers
My work is broad based, using materials that are appropriate in conveying my ideas. In the last five years, I have made work-using tapestry, paint on canvas, paper ‘fold outs’ and decoupages. I have an interest in paper folding kits and craft techniques and materials. I explore both the made and the unmade object in my work. The treatment and alteration of print images and materials are appropriately applied to the creation of my work.
